The center's focus is on the development, understanding and testing of interventions to support self and family management of health problems in vulnerable populations.

The center, begun in 2006, promotes excellence in all aspects of YSN international work, with an emphasis on collaborative scholarship and thoughtful examination of the cross-cultural and cross-border dimensions of our work.

Yale-Howard Partnership Center on Reducing Health Disparities
Yale School of Nursing and Howard University Division of Nursing launched the Partnership Center in 2003. Since the inception of the Yale-Howard program thirty-four scholars and fifteen pilot studies have been funded.
