Natasha Maynard '10 Appointed to Nursing Home BoardYSN GEPN student Natasha Maynard '10 was elected to the board of Smith House, a municipally-owned nursing home in Stamford, Conn. According to the Stamford Advocate article, Maynard is intrigued by policy implication of health care for the aging baby boomer population and engaged by the compassion of clinical care. "We're definitely not prepared as a nation," she said. "The geriatric population is going to explode, and no one wants to talk about it." Maynard is a Harvard-educated attorney who did a stint on the trading floor for UBS. One of Maynard's first tasks will be approving the new executive director for the financially strapped facility.
